On Saturday 12 September 2026, at 11:00 EDT (15:00 GMT), our founder, Dr Nina Meyerhof, is a keynote speaker at the 26th session of the Global Women’s Congress, the monthly assembly of the Founding Mothers Movement. She speaks for Children of the Earth alongside Rev. Tezikiah “Tez” Gabriel of Pathways to Peace.

The session has a single focus: children’s rights — and a new campaign to carry them forward.

Children’s Day of Peace

The Founding Mothers Movement is inviting partners everywhere to mark Children’s Day of Peace on World Children’s Day, Friday 20 November 2026. The goal is stated simply: that every child is loved, nurtured, and free to dream.

Anyone can take part. Partners can host a local event and pin it on a global map, and everyone is invited to read the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child — the global treaty that the United States remains the only UN member state not to have ratified.

For Children of the Earth, this is our own work in a wider circle. For thirty-five years, in more than thirty countries, we have helped young people reflect, connect and act — and we invite our chapters and hubs to mark 20 November in their own way.
