Evolution…

When I look back over my life, I see that my work did not simply change. It evolved alongside humanity's expanding understanding of itself.

In the beginning, my work was about the individual. I wanted young people to know they mattered. In a world that measured worth through competition, achievement, and power over others, I believed true power came from within. Self-esteem was not about ego. It was about discovering one's own value and dignity.

As the years unfolded, I realized that self-esteem alone was not enough.

A person could feel confident and still live without meaning.

The next step was discovering the soul—the deeper essence that calls each of us toward a life of purpose. Success was no longer the goal. Living one's calling became the goal. The question shifted from “Who am I?” to “Why am I here?”

At the same time, the world itself was changing. Science was revealing what many wisdom traditions had long taught: nothing exists in isolation. Ecology showed us that every living system depends upon every other. Biology revealed our shared ancestry. Communication connected the planet. Humanity was slowly awakening to the reality that we are one human family.

My work expanded accordingly. It was no longer only about individual transformation. It became about relationship—between people, cultures, nations, generations, and all living beings.

Then another understanding emerged. It became a necessity to know we are part of a global society.

From the understanding we are One Humanity the ideas of oneness and unity leading to unitive appeared in our language and our consciousness. We are evolving all the time whether aware or not. Nothing is static. Oneness is more than cooperation. It is the realization that beneath our apparent differences, we arise from the same Source. Energy changes form but is never lost. The trees communicate through vast underground networks. Mycelium links forests in relationships we are only beginning to understand. Every culture expresses the same human longings—for love, belonging, purpose, and peace.

Our separateness is real on one level, but it is not the deepest truth.

Today I believe humanity stands at another threshold.

We are being invited to move beyond seeing ourselves as the center of creation and begin seeing ourselves as participants in a living universe. Human beings are uniquely capable of reflecting upon consciousness itself. We are both earthly and transcendent. We bridge matter and spirit, the visible and the invisible, the finite and the infinite.

Our task is not domination.

Our task is participation.

Our task is to integrate full consciousness into our daily lives.

Our task is to live so above, so below.

As our consciousness expands, so too does our responsibility—to one another, to the Earth, and to generations yet unborn.

Looking back, I realize my life's work was never really about self-esteem, leadership, peace education, or even global citizenship.

It has always been about consciousness.

The journey from “I” to “We” to “One” is not merely the story of my life.

It is, I believe, the story humanity is being invited to live.
